Navigation remains closed at Lock 68 on the Trent & Mersey Canal due to a boat that is currently stuck inside the lock chamber. River Rescue is on site and working to safely recover the vessel. Navigation will reopen once the boat has been removed and it is safe to do so. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank customers for their patience while the situation is being resolved. A further update will be provided tomorrow, Wednesday, 8 July.

Please be advised navigation is currently closed at Lock number 68 on the Trent & Mersey Canal due to a boat becoming stuck inside the lock chamber. Our local team have been informed and will re-attend site during daylight hours to investigate further. An update will be provided tomorrow.
