Navigation remains closed due to the fallen tree. At present, we are unable to confirm when the contractor will be on site as they are currently dealing with a back log from the high workload created from Storm Claudia. We will provide a further update on or before Wednesday 3 December.

Our teams have been working throughout the week to remove the large number of fallen trees in the North West following Storm Claudia. We have not yet been able to reach all affected sites, but we are working through them as quickly as possible, and our teams remain focused on reopening our navigations and towpaths. We will provide further updates as soon as they become available. We would like to thank our customers for reporting these issues, and we appreciate your patience as we continue to work across multiple affected locations. A tree has fallen and is currently blocking navigation between Bridges 2 and 3 on the Peak Forest Canal. We have instructed our contractors, however, at present, we are unable to confirm when the contractor will be on site as adverse weather conditions from Storm Claudia are impacting our waterways across the North West and causing delays. We will provide a further update on or before Friday, 21 November.
