The Gallows Bridge lift scheduled for Thursday night, 4th December, has been postponed due to issues with the bearing shelf. The lift is now likely to take place after Christmas or in the early New Year. A new notice will be published once we are able to confirm the revised date.

This section of navigation will be closed for the installation of the new bridge. This will be done overnight, so will no cause no inconvenience to boaters or Towpath users.
