Contractors are currently on site at Bridge 9 on the North Stratford Canal, working to clear the obstruction. We anticipate that both towpath and navigation access will reopen later today, subject to final safety checks and clearance. Thank you for your patience while we carry out this work.

A large tree has fallen at Bridge 9 Haslucks Green Road on the North Stratford Canal, causing a complete obstruction to navigation.and towpath. We've raised this with our contractors and are working closely with them to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Storm Amy has impacted a number of our waterways, resulting in a high volume of incidents involving fallen trees.. Our teams are prioritising safety and working hard to clear obstructions and reopen affected routes. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we respond to this and other urgent cases.
