Contractors have attended site and discovered that the issue with the bridge is that the locking mechanism is bent. This locking mechanism needs to be repaired or replaced for the bridge to be reopened. The locking mechanism has been sent off to attempt to repair this, but it is currently unclear how long this will take. We will attempt to have this bridge reopened tomorrow but this could take longer depending on difficulty of repair.

There is a fault with warehouse Swingbridge and the bridge is not able to swing open for canal traffic. The navigation is currently closed here to canal traffic. Contractors will be attending site within 24 hours to review and attempt to resolve.
