We wanted to let you know that the works at Quoisley Lock will require additional time to complete. During the dewatering of the lock, it was identified that the lock gates were in significantly worse condition than expected, making repair unfeasible. New gates are therefore being manufactured, and the works have changed from a repair to a full gate replacement. As additional time is required to fabricate the new gates and subsequently complete their installation on site, the works will need to be extended by a further two weeks and will now complete on 27 March. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding while we complete these essential works.
