Further to the notice below, please be advised that on Wednesday 26th August a one-day navigation closure is required to allow works to be undertaken at Benham Lock. To facilitate these works we will be lowering the water level between Benham Lock and Higgs Lock. Please do not moor within this pound whilst the works are taking place. We will also be closing Guyers Lock to help maintain water levels for our customers within this pound. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your cooperation.

Please be advised that we have received reports of customers experiencing difficulty equalising pressure at Benham Lock. The lock is currently taking approximately 20 minutes to fill, so we kindly ask all users to be patient when operating the gates. Where possible, we recommend customers travel in pairs to assist one another during passage. Support from the Trust is available as a last resort; however, response times cannot be guaranteed.
