Navigation remains closed due to a damaged cill at Lock 26W on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal. This damage is preventing the lock from sealing, resulting in the lock being filled and operated safely. The local team have experienced delays in sourcing the necessary parts to carry out the repairs.  A further update will be provided on or before Friday, 15 May.

Navigation is currently closed due to damage to the lock cill at Lock 26W on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal. The damage is preventing the lock from sealing correctly, which means it cannot be filled or operated. Our team has assessed the issue and is arranging the necessary materials and resources to carry out the required repairs. Until these works are completed, the lock will remain unavailable to navigation.
