We apologise for the need to schedule an in‑season stoppage on the Kennet & Avon Canal. We are carrying out essential improvement works at Heales Lock 93, including the replacement of the top and bottom gates. To complete this work safely, a stoppage will be in place from 5th October until the 20th November. These works were originally planned for the recent intensive maintenance period but had to be deferred due to flooding and river conditions preventing mobilisation to site. Following local consultation it has been agreed that this is the preferred time to undertake these essential works. Thank you for your understanding and patience while these improvements take place.
