The water levels are still not sufficent enough for us to reopen navigation. The local team will be monitoring the levels on a daily basis. There will be a further update on 31/12/25 at 5pm.

Due to the recent breach on the Llangollen Canal we are struggling to maintain an adequate feed to the Shropshire Union. This is resulting in very low water levels between Bunbury and Beeston Iron locks. We need to close this section of canal until levels rise.
