A large tree has fallen and is currently blocking navigation between Bridge 78 and Lock 65 on the Rochdale Canal. Due to the size and position of the tree, we have instructed our specialist contractor to assist with the removal. At present, we are unable to confirm when the contractor will be on site as they are currently dealing with a back log from the high workload created from Storm Claudia. We will provide a further update on or before Tuesday 2 December.
