A large tree has fallen and is currently blocking navigation at Bridge 53, Catterall Bridge on the Lancaster Canal. Due to the size and position of the tree we need to instruct our specialist contractor to assist with the removal. At present, we are unable to confirm when the contractor will be on site as adverse weather conditions from Storm Claudia are impacting our waterways across the North West and causing delays. We will provide a further update on or before Monday, 17 November.
