What CRT said it was for
Please be advised that the planned navigation closure has now been removed. Following further investigations on site, it was determined that the proposed repair would not fully resolve the leakage issue. As a result, the works will be deferred to next year’s winter programme, once a suitable methodology has been developed to ensure the repair can be carried out to the required standard.

Following a review, it has been identified that the leakage at the lock is more significant than initially believed. To ensure we implement the most effective solution and secure the additional consents required, the stoppage has been rescheduled. It will now take place from 2nd February to 6th March.
