Please note that only Barge lock will be closed; the narrow locks will remain open. As a result, wide beam boats will be unable to pass.

Please be advised that navigation at Bottom Barge Lock on the Staffs & Worcester Canal in Stourport will be temporarily closed from Monday 16th June to Friday 20th June. This closure is necessary due to water leakage from the top end gates, which has resulted in low water levels within the basin. Our Reactive Response Team will be on-site during this period to install a coffer dam, assess the situation, and repair the leaking lock gate. We appreciate your understanding as we work to resolve this issue.
