Navigation will be closed between Lock 1 and Lock 4 on the Ashton Canal to allow our teams to carry out emergency repairs to ground paddles and replace structural wall fixings. The locks will remain open until Tuesday 13 May, and our teams will continue to monitor them. If you experience any issues while operating the locks, please contact our North West Customer Service Team. Due to other emergency repairs currently underway, the earliest our teams can begin this work is Tuesday 13 May and Thursday 15 May. The locks will be closed during this period to allow the repairs to be carried out safely. A further update on the progress of the repairs will be provided on Thursday 15 May.
